Katrina Kaif was born on July 16, 1984. Katrina is an Indian film actress and an ex-model, who has appeared in Bollywood, Telugu and Malayalam films.
Born in London, UK, (also debated to be in Hong Kong) on July 16, 1984, Katrina Kaif is one of eight siblings. Katrina Kaif was born to an Indian Kashmiri Father and British mother. She was brought up in Hawaii. Katrina Kaif started modelling at the age of 14, when she was approached for a jewellery campaign. After that Kaif continued modeling in London.

At the age of 14, Katrina Kaif started modeling for a jewellery campaign in London, and was subsequently discovered by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film 'Boom' (2003).
Katrina Kaif moved to Mumbai, and was offered a number of modeling assignments. However, filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign Katrina Kaif because of her linguistic shortcomings, such as her inability to speak Hindi without a heavy accent. Films that did feature Katrina Kaif, usually had her voice dubbed over by a native speaker of the film's language.

Unlike other artistes from foreign lands, Katrina did not experience any difficulties in getting a visa nor of getting it extended in India.


She was discovered at age 14 as a model for a jewelry campaign.
